AJP Training

A recent survey identified that 43% of UK adults have never learnt CPR and 61% of people say they would not be confident to use a defibrillator. Are you one of them? Of the 43%, many have not completed training in the last 5 to 10 years. The other worrying face is since COVID-19 many people report to having only done First aid online and having never done a practical session.

Alison can offer 1 day practical face to face Emergency First Aid, half day Basic Life Support and refreshers of both to groups of 10 at their own venue. Cost is per courses. Both courses include not only a practical CPR but an  opportunity to practice with a community based defibrillators called AED’s and what to do if someone is choking.

Alison can offer manual handling of loads and people. Alison is particularly interested in supporting family carers who may have to assist a relative with simple moving tasks. Many techniques used by family and friends are not permitted to be use by trained care professionals as they can injure both parties.

Alison can offer a range of courses to social care staff available face to face and via Zoom.
